What is plane spotting?

If you’re an AvGeek, chances are you’re also a plane spotter. As an aviation enthusiast myself, one of my all time favorite activities is watching planes. Plane spotting is a hobby where you watch and photograph aircraft movements. You can do this at an airport, or even at home! This hobby is most commonly enjoyed by aviation enthusiasts who all have different plane spotting methods. There are ones who photograph aircraft, log the aircraft registrations, and plane spotters who just watch the planes directly. I myself watch the planes directly and take photos.
